Getting dentures

What's left of my upper teeth ain't pretty and it's time to get them sorted. Weirdly, my lower teeth are all intact and in decent condition.
So I've decided to get a full set of upper dentures. I'm going private so will have plenty of options.
Anyone been through this? Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated.
I shall be auctioning the 8 extracted teeth with the proceeds going to the WHO fund. Details to follow.

I made dentures for a living for a year in my early 20's. Shit boring job working with tooth enthusiasts. Amazing I lasted that long. Even more amazing that I.got the job in the first place. My boss got suspended and so I fucked off to a different job and they kept paying me months, which was handy.
Seen some real fucked up toothy scenarios.
Wear a full face helmet on a motobike and don't forget to floss.
Common mistake is to ask for 'perfect' teeth (in your case on the top deck) and look fucking ridiculous. Ask for something that kind of blends in with what you've got. That's all I'd say.

Couple of people I know have got theirs done in Turkey for the third of the price you'd pay here.
My missus wants a New set of railings so might pay to get hers done in Turkey.Use her as a ginea pig ?.
If hers go ok,might get mine done.
The thought of spending anytime in fucking Turkey makes me legs go mind.
It's a shithole.

Implants are the best way forward my teeth weren’t that bad decent fronts and bottoms but chipped and with Some fillings and teeth missing decided to treat myself having not smoked for 20 years full makeover £21k including veneers
Turkey is cheaper but you get what you pay for

Mate of mine had teeth that Shane McGowan would have been embarrassed about (though he’s had his done now too)
Got his sorted out in Bulgaria for much cheapness thank yoooooou.
It’s another country where people use horses and carts to get about on but he was happy with the results.

It being more expensive in the UK doesn't mean you get better results. I went to Prague to get my eyes done for about half the cost of getting it done in London. Would have no problem going back for dental.

Don't spend a fortune on your first set as your gums will continue to shrink for a couple of years afterwards and you'll need to get a new set made. (You can have them relined but it's not as good as getting a made to measure new set).
I looked at all the options and decided to get implants done at a later date, once I'd sold a kidney to pay for the fuckers.
I've had dentures for about 3 years now, they can be a bloody nuisance towards the end of the day when they start to come loose. (Don't believe the adverts about the adhesive that lasts all day and night, it's bollocks, it doesn't).
Overall though having them is much better than not.

Thanks, but don't worry about it. He's spent 10 years harassing be from behind the anonymity of the site. He no longer has that, hence I address him by his real name. I know from someone who knows him that he's a pikey weasel in real life. Seems to have a nice car and house, so can't be a complete fool, despite behaving like one online.

Had some work done in Bangkok 10 years ago now.
Cheaper than here and a lot cheaper than Oz where I was living.
Never had a problem with them. Their clinics are top notch. So cheaper doesn't mean inferior, but for implants would mean possible repeat trips, especially if bone augmentation is needed.
